Tess Parker
I am a Research Scientist on the Climate Variability and Hazards Team in the Climate Intelligence program at CSIRO Environment, and co-lead of the Drought Hazard Team in the Australian Climate Service.
Previously, I was a Research Fellow in the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes, and prior to that a Postdoctoral Researcher in the department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics at the University of Oxford, UK.
I work on a number of projects related to the science of weather-producing systems, with a particular interest in high-impact weather such as heat waves, droughts, and compound events. Please see my Publications and Research/News pages for more about me, and the latest news.
