Tess Parker

I am a Research Scientist in the Forecast Innovation Team at the
Australian Bureau of Meteorology, working on aviation turbulence and icing.

Prior to that, I was a Research Fellow in the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment at Monash University and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes , Melbourne, Australia, and a Postdoctoral Researcher in the department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics at the University of Oxford, UK.

Much of my research relates to the science of weather-producing systems, with a particular interest in high-impact weather such as heat waves, droughts, and compound events. Please see my Publications and Research/News pages for more about me, and the latest news.
